THE HISTORY

 1887  Established Tokyo Rope Mfg. Co., Ltd.
started production of the ropes made of Manila hemp,
as the first rope manufacturer in Japan.
 1897  Started to produce steel wire ropes, also as the first manufacturer in Japan.
 1942  Founded the integrated fiber rope plant in Gamagori City.
 1952  Started production of synthetic fiber ropes as the first in the rope industry.
 1963  Started to make eight-strand plaited ropes
by own developed plaiting machines named TOSCO.
 1968  Fiber Rope Department of Tokyo Rope Mfg. Co., Ltd. was separated
and newly established the TOKYO SEIKO ROPE MFG. Co., Ltd.
 1976  Started to make double braided ropes named TOUGH-LAY
by own developed unique machines
which featured in large and sharp braiding.
 1981  Started to produce Kevlar ropes first in Japan.
Sience then, we have kept developing ropes from new fibers such as Technora, Vectran,
Techmiron, etc.
 1991  Introduced an universal tensile testing machine(500 metric ton capacity)
as the first company in Japan.
 1997  ISO 9002 (NO, JSAQ190) registered by J.S.A. (Japan Standard Association).
 2000  ISO 9001 (NO, JSAQ190) registered by J.S.A. (Japan Standard Association).
 2009  Joined Cordage Institute.
